Rainy Day Riding
Friday, March 27th, 2009Thursdays we meet in Yorktown in the lower half of the parking garage at 5 PM. This Thursday was threatening rain but it held off for most of the ride. Yorktown and the surrounding battlefields make for a low traffic ride on most days but this Thursday there was almost no traffic at all — an added bonus! Mike was a little off today so we only went 26 miles and averaged about 15 mph. Rod and Dale still sprinted at all the hills, though.
During the after ride debriefing, the Riverwalk’s bar ran out of Legend Ale, which is a near disaster but the Starr Hill Amber was an able substitute, so all turned out well.
